Hello everyone!!! Following on from yesterdays events, today wasn’t as good for some athletes competing in this years Winter Olympics, such as Team GB‘s Elise Christie, who lost the 500m short track speed skating for silver, who was also penalised for pushing as three skaters fell over. Russia’s favourite, Evgeni Plushenko is out of the men’s figure skating due to an injury.

For the curling event, Team GB’s men beat the United States 5-3 and the GB’s women beat China 8-7. In Skeleton, Lizzy Yarnold lead the halfway point, with fellow Brit Shelley Rudman at 11th and for freestyle skiing, Team GB’s James Woods came fifth as the US sweep the slopestyle medals. Today has been a 50/50 day for all of us as there was a chance something could go wrong for some athletes, and some things could go well for others. This proves the peer pressure of this years Winter Olympic Games run high in some or most cases.
