Following on from the photo-set I produced featuring my close friend, Roddy Stewart, I have photographed my close friend, Thomas Rodrigues, as Spring comes kicking and screaming with energy, also because fashion is a key element during the Spring/Summer seasons.
This time, the photo-set is small as it’s only two photos, as the first photograph I took of Thomas is off-guard and natural, but the second photo is a full body photograph showcasing the mood of Spring in fashion that Thomas has presented and I won’t lie, I was quite taken aback by the end result of these photos considering the first photo really captured the way Thomas really felt, while the second photo really captured the model-like stance he has presented.
I did edit these before uploading them to Instagram and kept them in colour this time, but raised the level slightly on the full body photo so that his facial expression was more visible so that you can see how he really feels.
You’ve No Idea What’s Going Through My Mind!
The first photo really captures Thomas on edge which is what I intended for the end result of the first photo to be even though he actually wasn’t on edge as this photo was completely off-guard, whilst capturing the on-edge gritty feeling I wanted this photo to achieve.
Believe in Yourself & You’ll Achieve Anything!
Because this is a full body photo, it captures the fashion trends of what Thomas wears and is a trendy look that can be pulled off even during the Summer season.
This photo, for me, also captures Thomas standing at his most resilient knowing that if you can believe in yourself, then you can achieve anything.
Sometimes, and this is what I’ve noticed more as I’ve progressed with this photography series, I’ve noticed that less is more when I produce photography work and it has helped me as I know what to produce and the way I want to produce it.
The first photo really captures Thomas on edge which is what I intended for the end result of the first photo to be even though he actually wasn’t on edge as this photo was completely off-guard and natural.
I like when I capture realistic expressions that are not put on because they speak more for themselves with the real emotions in mind, whilst also keeping the real emotions at bay and showing the world that these real emotions are what we should be showing, not the versions of ourselves others expect just to please them.
I’ve got more photography work in the pipeline, so make sure you check back soon for the next few photo-sets I’m currently at work on producing.
If you enjoyed this small photo-set, please feel free to comment below what you think of it and I’m open to feedback on any improvements you believe I could make.
