The Concept of Expression: Ben Francis (Parental Guidance is Advised)

The next subject I photographed for this series is my close friend, Ben Francis.

It was a great day out and the warm weather, despite it being cloudy, made up for the way that Ben expressed himself.

South Croydon Recreation Ground is a great place to travel to if you’re with friends and is an ideal photography hotspot, as long as it doesn’t rain.

I hand-picked the 4 photos out of this photo-set that I felt stood out the most as they went down a storm on Instagram after some slight edits to bring the details to the surface of how Ben really feels in order to evoke the emotions he’s actually feeling.

The emotions Ben really shows here captures him in his most personal light, and it’s not hard to understand why mental health is often overlooked.

Mental health isn’t something that can be brushed under the carpet and forgotten about. If you are or know someone who is feeling anxious, depressed or even suicidal, always be in your mate’s corner and always be in your family’s corner as mental health, physical well-being and mental well-being all matter.

Stay tuned as I produced another photo-set that features Ben and the next photo-set was produced at BOXPARK, and the next photo-set captures more of his personal emotions that may have not been visible before, as the personal emotions he has I feel we can all relate and resonate on.

Please feel free to comment below your thoughts on this photo-set as I’m open to critique and would love to hear your feedback. If there is anything I can improve on, and if there are any lenses you can recommend that work with my Nikon D3300, please feel free to let me know below.
