The next subject I picked to photograph for the photography series is my close friend, Patrick Connolly.

Serving as an update to the first photo-set I produced featuring Patrick on New Year’s Eve 2018 into New Year’s Day, this photo-set was also produced at London Pride alongside the photo-set I published featuring my close friend, Oliver Barlin.

Original Versions (Portrait Mode Only)

These photos did so well on Instagram after I edited them to black and white whilst using the Depthography app.

Depthography Edits / Black & White

These photos were so good that I hadn’t anticipated just how good they would be in black and white. Colour photographs in black and white bring out the real emotions we might not necessarily show and it’s refreshing to see that the real emotions we don’t often show are slowly but surely coming to light as mental health is slowly being recognised.

If there are any improvements you feel I could make and if there are any apps you can recommend, please feel free to let me know in the comments below.

All feedback is much appreciated.

Date of Photoset Produced: Saturday 6th July 2019
