Welcome to 2020! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to the new decade!
This year has kicked off to a perfect start and for a good reason.
I’ve got wonderful news to tell all of you!
Remember the photo-set I published of my close friend, Harvey Lee, who donned the Halloween skull makeup?
I got notified by GuruShots at 8 AM on the 29th December 2019 after submitting 4 out of 6 of the photos from that photo-set to one of their competitions they ran in their app, and the good news is because I applied after paying an application fee, I hadn’t anticipated it, but I got chosen!
The four photos in question are officially going to be exhibited at the Espaço Espelho D’Agua Gallery in Lisbon! The exhibition is titled: “Photographer of the Year” and will be exhibited from Friday 21st February to Sunday 23rd February 2020!
I was itching to tell all of you because it ended 2019 with an almighty bang and has kicked off this year perfectly with a bang! I’ve got so much excitement for this year and I cannot wait to show all of you what I’ve got planned in store for this year!
The 4 photos that are going to be exhibited at the Espaço Espelho D’Agua Gallery in Lisbon are:
Also, there’s more good news on the horizon!
The photography series I’ve been working on for almost three years now, The Concept of Expression, is going to be turned into a book!
Over the course of 2020, I will be working on the book as I’m aiming for the book to be less wordy and more photo-based, but it will contain helplines from various mental health charities and companies as I want the series to raise awareness for anyone battling mental health as I encourage everyone who battles mental health to get their voices heard.
I really want to make a positive difference as I want it to be my way of giving back good to this world, especially in this day and age now where mental health is starting to be recognised and acknowledged.
What a way to kick off 2020 and the new decade!
Also, kicking off the leap year in style, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games are not far behind and I cannot wait for the Olympic Games!
This year is shaping up to be the most exciting year yet!
Welcome to 2020! May your year be filled with joy, happiness, love and fun times!
