Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time / Out 2nd October!

Following the teaser Activision’s official Crash Bandicoot Twitter Account posted last night, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be released on the 2nd October!

This game is officially a direct sequel which continues on after the imploded Time Twister Machine in Warped saw Dr. Neo Cortex, Uka Uka & Dr. Nefarious Tropy trapped in an interdimensional prison.

In this sequel, they’ve escaped, and in succeeding, have broken the boundaries of time and space.

With the fate of the world being placed in Crash & Coco Bandicoot’s hands, it’s up to them to save the day.

This, of course, means the direct sequel officially takes place in an alternate continuity from the prior mainline titles, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and Crash: Twinsanity, as this sequel is intended to fill in the missing pieces of the sequel that was originally meant to follow after the events of Warped.

All new powers are introduced, as you can now bend the rules of reality by manipulating time while you master the four powerful Quantum Masks, each of which come with new abilities, allowing you to unite them and restore order to the multiverse.

As Activision’s official Crash Bandicoot website stated, there will be New N. Sanity, as they wrote:

DEFY LOGIC. AND FASHION SENSE.

“NEW ABILITIES? CHECK. MORE PLAYABLE CHARACTERS? YEP. ALTERNATE DIMENSIONS? OBVIOUSLY. RIDONKULOUS BOSSES? FOR SURE. SAME AWESOME SAUCE? YOU BET YOUR SWEET JORTS. WAIT, ARE THEY ACTUALLY JORTS? NOT IN THIS UNIVERSE!”

It’s the direct sequel everyone’s been waiting for given Crash Bandicoot: Warped was officially released back in 1998 and the trailer below shows why it is the true sequel we’ve been waiting for!
