The next subject I’ve photographed for this photography series is Alex Maurice.
As we continue to face the challenges that lie ahead with COVID-19, the wave of emotions we experience mentally as a result of the pandemic reflect how we’ve had to adapt to this new way of life we’re currently experiencing.
For Alex, the genuine emotions he exhibits in this photo-set struck a chord with me, because you can see the raw emotions in his facial expressions that determine how he genuinely feels.

What I think is powerful is that his emotions are visible and genuine because the pandemic has given all of us time to reflect on how we feel mentally now as opposed to life before the coronavirus.
It’s clear that with Alex exhibiting his genuine emotions, his emotions reflect the reality we are all currently facing.

As cases of mental health are increasing every day, we all must reach out now more than ever to one another to see how everyone is doing, as mental health matters and should never go under the radar.
With the current situation of the government’s actions impacting how we live throughout everyday life, we all need to be there for one another and should never overlook mental health.
Mental health needs to be acknowledged, now, more than ever!
If this photo-set inspires you, please reach out to me.
