A Modern Love Letter to the 70s Space Age Era!

Croydon’s Space Age fifty years ago consisted of beautiful landscapes and open top buildings like the Whitgift Centre, and the history of Croydon’s buildings that now remain in the past and have recently been redeveloped or removed entirely to make way for some of the new buildings today still manages to keep the spirit of Croydon alive.

With a large fraction of buildings built during the 70s Space Age Era that still stand proud today, it’s no wonder that despite some of the buildings being redeveloped they still keep the magic of the 70s while adding more magic and visually eye-catching detail to today’s Croydon.

Croydon’s modernisation of the Whitgift Centre & Centrale Shopping Centre even during sunset is essentially a modern love letter to the Space Age Era which will forever be cemented in Croydon’s history as the place it was then, including the place it is now and in the future!
