The Concept of Expression: Oriane Rose Beech

The next subject in my photography series is my close friend, Oriane Rose Beech.

Whilst me and a couple of close friends revisited Mayfield Lavender Farm in June, shortly after marking my 20th Birthday, we did a lot of catching up after some time considering I had the last two weeks of June off for annual leave.

While we were there, Oriane was so expressive and was being herself as these photos proved she was being her actual self and not the version of herself others would expect of her.

Also, these facial expressions you see her making were actually off-guard and not put on at all. Oriane wasn’t even aware of the expressions she made until I showed her these photographs and even now the photos create humour and energy and to be yourself, to express yourself and to show everyone who you actually are and not what anyone thinks you really are is an admirable and rare freedom in itself.

I chose these three photos from this photo-set that I knew would stand out the most after I put them up on the Mother Nature Instagram Page.

Looking back at these photographs and seeing just how good they were after I produced them made me realise that everyone has a personality, it’s about knowing the personality of the person you come across and not the version of the personality others expect that matters.

I look for the real personality in everyone, not the version of their personality that others expect of them and these photo-sets are my intention of documenting mental health on a personal level where you can always be yourself free from the judgment of others who want, need and expect you to conform or pander to their way of how they want you to look to them.

I look below the surface when it comes to the subjects I photograph as I want to capture how they really feel emotionally deep-down behind the hard exterior they show.

It’s not about how they feel on the outside that I’m bothered about, it’s how they really feel on the inside that truly matters.

I feel this is a remarkable improvement on the photo-sets I’ve produced for the series so far, but if there are any improvements I can make, please let me know in the comments. I would love to hear your responses.

Welcome to December!

Welcome to December! It’s hard to believe it’s the last 4 weeks of the year and the time has flown! I hadn’t anticipated for the time to fly so fast, but it’s been a whirlwind of a year.

As 2018 closes its doors for good at the end of the month, it’s hardly surprising that this year has been the busiest year on record.

Over the next few weeks, I will be continuing to apply for more jobs, but I will be doing the best I can to try and get some articles / photo moments / reviews in if I can, but I hope you all wrap up warm over the next few weeks and enjoy the Christmas festive season now it’s finally here!

Mother Nature gets a small makeover just in time for the festive season!

Also, today is World AIDS Day, so if you are someone or know someone who is going through the life-threatening disease, please make sure to raise awareness and make a positive difference for anyone who may be HIV+, as it’s time the world made a difference. Know Your Status!

Until then, Welcome to December!

Monthly Roundup: November 2018

It’s been quite a busy few weeks, some ups and downs here and there but a lot has happened this month. The time has flown like the wind, literally! 2018 is set to close its doors at the end of next month and it’s hard to imagine it felt like yesterday 2018 started, and now it’s almost the end of the year.

Without further ado, I’ll quickly summarise the articles / photo moments published over the course of November.

1.11.2018 – November kicked off with an almighty bang with firework night being just around the corner, and with the thick coats, scarves and gloves coming out for Autumn, Autumn was in full swing as we head towards Winter and towards the end of the year.

2.11.2018 – The Shard is a beautiful building at night, especially from London Bridge Train Station.

3.11.2018 – It was chilly in Chiswick but it was a beautiful sight to behold, especially as the sun set over the landscape!

6.11.2018 – Whilst on the way to Bermondsey, I couldn’t resist capturing Shoreditch High Street at its finest!

13.11.2018 – The landscape around Essex was absolutely exquisite!

26.11.2018 – If you ever go to Shoreditch and it’s busy and full of traffic, get your “A” game on!

27.11.2018 – Imagine the chances of seeing love in a lot of murals! Both murals inspired around PopEye captured that heartwarming feeling!

28.11.2018 – As Christmas is a time to celebrate, Centrale Croydon wishes you all a Happy Christmas just in time for the festive season!

Thank you so much, everyone, for a great month. This month has been busy, fun, and emotional, and as I leave behind my self-employed Brand Ambassador position after a month to look around for a jobs, your continued support means a lot to me, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for jobs and will be applying to jobs as I go along.

Again, thank you so much, everyone, and I shall see you all in December!
