Slight Change to Header

Slight Change to Header

Hello everyone!! I made a small change in GIMP just now to the header of this blog to make it feel more christmassy for your viewing pleasure.

I wanted to leave a small, but important bit of time to let you all know that I may not be on this blog for Monday and Tuesday next week, as I have an Art Mock Exam on those 2 days where I will be creating my final piece before I finish school for the Christmas holidays.

I apologise if I’m not operating my blog for 2 days, but when it gets to Wednesday, Thursday & Friday next week, I’ll be able to continue updating this blog with new posts, which includes posting more over the Christmas holidays before 2013 draws to a final close.

Thank you for reading, I really appreciated the time you took to read this blog post.

Hello, and welcome back for the final, chilly month of the year, December!!!

After taking a trip to Wimbledon last week, which I mentioned in my last blog post for last month, I wanted to welcome all of you back for the final month of this year.

As this year draws to a chilly close, I wanted to mark the occasion by making the header and background blend in to every exact detail, giving the blog a flat, elegant Christmas festive feel.

As 2013 ends and 2014 approaches, I thought I’d supply the background for all of you to download and keep for everyday use.

Please let me know what you think of the new look for Christmas in the comments, or even drop me an email via the Contact page.

Thank you.

Welcome back to my blog for a chilly November, a month of Remembrance!

Hello everyone, how did your fireworks night go? As Autumn begins to draw to a close, I thought I’d give the blog a slight makeover in terms of the header. I’ve redesigned the header for this month to celebrate a well known event, which is based on rememberance day, commemorating and paying tribute to a lot of our soldiers that died in the first World War. I’ve provided a link from Wikipedia that gives an in-depth description of World War I that went begun in 1914 and ended in 1918: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_I

I also redesigned the header to mark another event that continues through the whole of November, Movember!!!

I’ve updated the pages bar on here with an ‘About Alex’ column, where I introduce myself to all of you, and what I like to blog about. I also gave an in-depth description of what kind of things I do on my blog to keep myself occupied. Feel free to give it a read anytime you want. Here is a preview of what the pages bar looks like now with the new column:

Please send in your photos of the fireworks via email, also please include your name with the photos so I can put the photos you sent in into a separate gallery. To email me your pictures of the fireworks, my email address is: asterisk1598@outlook.com

Please make sure to wrap up warmer this winter, as we could be facing a harsh winter, after all the baking hot weather we had a couple of months back.

Thank you for reading.

Welcome to the New Look!!

Hello everyone! I thought I’d let you all know I updated the theme on the blog last night to the Quintus theme, and I’ve also made changes to the header, making it big and bold for the visually impaired, for those who experience blurred vision.

The Home button has made a comeback, and to make it easier to look back on previous blog posts, there is now an ‘<–Older posts’ button in place on the right of the page.

Search has moved to the left of the toolbar, meaning you’ll be able to search from the toolbar a lot easier than before. Gone are the days when Search used to be the norm for difficulties. All of that is put to rest.

Feel free to suggest new ideas for my photos via the contact button, or even comment at the bottom of this post.

Please let me know what you think of the new Quintus theme on this blog.

1 Small Change – Accessibility made easier + New Header Design!

Hello again! I gave the blog a bit of a slight redesign, and to make the accessibility easier around the blog, I have made a home button, so if you want to get back to the home-page, the home button is in the top left-hand corner. I have also done away with the title and tagline of the blog, as I have designed a header, placing both the title of this blog and the tagline in the middle of the home-page, making it easier to view, so that the blog stands out.

Feel free to let me know what you think of the new ‘Home’ button, or drop me an email via the contact form on this blog.

Autumnal September! – Changes to the Header of this blog.

Hello again!! I apologize if I have changed the header more than once because I gave the blog this new theme called ‘Adventure Journal‘, but on the other hand, I have designed a new header which is live above this post, and I have also used cropped versions of the photos I already have on this blog and made them smaller to fit underneath the name and tagline of this blog.

You might notice that I have made the photos look tiled, like as if they were printed on a canvas.

Feel free to give feedback on what you think of the new theme and header.

Autumnal September!

Hello, and welcome back to my blog for an autumnal September!! I was away for a few days as I was preparing the new blog header, and I thought I’d go with a Skyline-based design to reflect all 4 seasons of the year.

I wanted to make the new blog header look, and feel like it was printed onto a newspaper, to give it that simple, old, classic style-look.

Feel free to give feedback on what you think of the new look in the Comments.
