Artistic Interpretation #6 / Prince Rogers Nelson (1993)

As it has been almost a year since we lost the iconic music legend, Prince Rogers Nelson, who passed away on the 21st April 2016, I wanted to take the opportunity to pay tribute to the iconic music legend by drawing for this sixth artistic interpretation.

This is the first Artistic Interpretation for 2017 and I wanted to make sure that Prince Rogers Nelson would be the first musician I would draw this year.

This drawing I’ve produced is inspired on the Greatest Hits album: “The Hits / The B-Sides” that Prince Rogers Nelson released back in 1993, as this Greatest Hits collection spans much of the music he released over the course of his career, given that he was the powerhouse and driving force that defined many generations and helped to inspire so many musicians, also because he was known for releasing so many albums that his back catalogue would be filled to maximum capacity.

Prince’s music defined himself as the iconic music legend he is, and even in death, his music will never grow old, will never become dated but will always remain timeless, as his music is eccentric and changes every time but changes so quickly that you cannot help but appreciate the iconic music legend himself for always being different and not making music that sounds the same.

Below is the completed artistic interpretation I have produced of Prince Rogers Nelson.

Prince Rogers Nelson

I’m really pleased with the end result of this artistic interpretation, because I wanted to make sure that this drawing would keep true to the iconic music legend himself. Prince left his mark not just on the music world, but on the entire world, as his music is the reason why so many of the musicians we hear of today are still not just releasing music, but are making the best difference and being the positive changes in this world.

His music has also given so many people around the world, including myself so much to be thankful for and his music, from my perspective, is a message of hope, and that hope can mean you can be yourself and be the positive change you want to see in this world and I feel that by drawing him, he has not only been a positive influence on me, but on all of us.

I want to say this as a way of paying tribute to Prince Rogers Nelson:

“Prince. Your music has been the Sign ‘O’ the Times, Purple Rain came down on us and delighted us and When Doves Cry, you were there to give us all hope and to make sure we were the positive changes this world needs. Your Little Red Corvette sits briskly in heaven and heaven gained an angel. Sometimes it Snows in April, then there is Purple Rain, but you gave us all hope and made us all feel okay to be ourselves, so thank you for everything, Prince Rogers Nelson.”

If you want to pay your respects to Prince Rogers Nelson almost a year after the iconic music legend departed from Planet Earth, then please leave a comment below in his memory.

For the First Time in this World. Do You. Be Happy.

Always be yourself, and be happy in this world.

It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of you, and it doesn’t matter if you’re different to everyone else, just be you and only you, and also be happy, that’s what really matters the most.

Stay true to yourself, and realise that you are better than you think.

There’s more to your life than you think, and it’s also about doing what you love the most. If you love a hobby that much, keep doing that hobby, and if there’s something that makes you smile, keep smiling.

What matters the most is that you keep doing you, but most of all, that you keep being happy.

Always keep positive and always keep strong because your life is what matters.

So for the first time in this world, just do you and be happy.

But most of all, be yourself and just stay true to who you are, and you will find that your life gets better as the time flies by.

Do You. Be Happy. Be Yourself.

Do We Live in an Equal & Diverse Society?

Equality & Diversity are just two of the main key factors that make up all the societies in this world. Whether it would be to do with a person’s religious background, sexuality or even how someone chooses to look and appear, both key factors should be taken into consideration no matter what society any of us come from.

Well unfortunately when it comes to reality, both of these key factors share a form of lacklustre in the real world today, as a wide array of societies don’t always accept people just for who they want to be in this world, and our world unfortunately, I’m sorry to say, is not exactly equal and diverse like we hoped it to be.

I’ve always believed that if you fail to accept someone just for who they are, who they choose to be, as well as who they love, including what they look like, it makes you a bad person because it will make you feel better about yourself, when actually it doesn’t, it just shows the world how much of a bad person you really are.

I always believe that we should all be equal and diverse towards one another, because in the real world, parts of the world lack either one or both, because there’s sometimes a lack of equality, where people are treated inequally just because of who they are and how differently they choose to live their own lives.

It’s pretty sad that inequality exists in this world, and the same goes for the lack of diversity in this world as well, because with a lack of equality and diversity in this world, how will we be able to treat one another with respect?

Equality & Diversity are the two key prime examples that make up the large population of people in this world. There’s over 7 billion of us in this world, and only about 3.5 billion of us are in this kind of real world madness. That’s just how I see things from my perspective, and you don’t have to agree if you don’t want to, because that’s how I see my perspective on equality and diversity in this world.

If there was more equality and diversity in this world, then the whole world, and I mean the whole world, as in every single person on this Earth, then all of us would come together, not just to unite, not just to love, but to treat and respect one another for what it’s worth.

I always keep these two key life factors close to my heart, because I’d rather be equal and diverse towards everyone and treat everyone with respect and accept everyone rather than be the complete opposite.

At the end of the day, the more equal and diverse all societies are, the better this world becomes, and the more equal and diverse everyone in the world becomes, the better the place that this world becomes.

If there was more equality and diversity in this world, the whole world would be a much better place than it is now.

Only we can make that change, and it’s time to make a change, to make a difference, but most importantly, to be equal and diverse towards each other, because only we can make the world a better place by starting now.

The Nostalgia of Yesteryear.

It’s very hard to believe, it was almost one year ago that I finished school, the time just flies by like a shot. If you want me to be honest, I knew my time at primary school had gone quick, but for 5 years to come and go in a flash, it doesn’t feel like I left school.

Almost one year ago, I started my UAL Level 2 Art & Design Course at Croydon College, and in that short space of time, between September & now, it’s just gone like a blip, but the good thing is, I’ve been accepted onto the Level 3 Lens-Based Media Course for September, just weeks before I finish this course. By being accepted on to this course before I even finish the course I am currently on, this will give me the chance to make my photographical skills much better than before.

In all honesty, I hate the thought of the time flying so fast, because before you know it, you’ll get to a certain age and wonder where all of that time went. I just find it very hard to believe that the time flies so fast, but, like they say, time flies when you’re having fun.

In my eyes, I always believe that it’s good to make the most of the time that you’ve got on this mortal coil of a planet that we call Earth, because it’s wise to make the most of the time you’ve got now, and make sure to make something good out of it, because it will never come around ever again.

What I find very hard to believe is how quick the time goes, because you don’t realise just how quick it goes until you’ve finished your primary and secondary school years, and it’s when you move on to the last two years of your secondary education for college that you begin to realise: “Where has 16 years of my life gone?” Although I sometimes think that, I’ve realised that I want to make the most of the time that I still have whilst I’m still in secondary education.

College has been great this past year, and I won’t lie to you, I have enjoyed college. As I prepare to take on the two-year Level 3 Lens-Based Media Course, which begins in September, this will give me the chance to prepare for the kind of materials I am going to need for the course, which will run until 2017.

Croydon College has an extremely large range of opportunities in store, and it is also a fantastic college, because whatever course you choose to take on at this college, they give you all of the help and support that you feel you may need, and the staff at this college are very supportive, and they would do anything to make sure that you get to go in the right direction that you want to go in for the future.

There is one thing I always believe in, and that is to be yourself, because being yourself means that you get to take full control of the things that you want to do in life, and not be controlled by those who have their own lives to worry about. Be yourself and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something that you can’t do something that you want to do. If you want to do something that could benefit your chances of success, go for it. Don’t let anyone hold you back, in fact, don’t let anyone control your life. Control your own life in the style that you want, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Control your own life in the way that you want, but for all of the right reasons.

With Mother Nature coming up to its 2-Year Anniversary on the 6th June 2015, it is absolutely fantastic to know that Mother Nature has gotten stronger in just the short space of two years. It was also around this time last year that I started work on my second book: “A Year in Photography“, which is available for free download under “Free Books“. This was a rather dangerous risk for me to take though, considering the fact that I had my exams to worry about, four of which I passed, with the final result being that I got 6 GCSEs out of the four exams I managed to pass.

With my third book: “My Journey Through a Lens” being almost ready for release, this book is set to be the loftiest book I have ever produced, with this book being expected to cross over the 400-page mark. In turn, I have worked on this book throughout almost the whole entirety of my UAL Level 2 Art & Design Course, as I have balanced my coursework, this website, and also my work on this third book effectively.

With my 17th birthday coming up shortly, which has come around awfully quick due to how much of a busy year I’ve had, I have got some bits and pieces of artwork to submit & prepare beforehand, before all of my Final Major Project work goes on show privately, and to the public. Hopefully, this time around, I won’t feel as stressed as I did last year after I finished my exams. I have found this year to be less stressful, given the fact I’ve only been doing 4 subjects at Croydon College, which are Art & Design, English, Maths and Enrichment.

Sacrifices have been made down the line, and although I may have not been happy to make sacrifices for certain things initially, I am glad to have made those sacrifices, as they have helped me to become far better at the things I can now do.

Before I made those sacrifices, I admit, I used to be laid-back, and I would leave a lot of my work to the last minute, which would make me panic the night before, but after making those sacrifices, I have been able to keep on top of my work, I have also been able to find the time to write and publish articles on Mother Nature, and as well as that, I have been able to work on this third book, which is out soon.

In life, we all have to make sacrifices in order to become better at certain things we weren’t better at before, and by making sacrifices, this will make us all become stronger in ourselves, all of us will also believe in ourselves more for the sacrifices we’ve made, and at the end, all of the hard work and effort will pay off. Make sacrifices to make ends meet, and also make sacrifices so that all of the hard work and effort you’ve made pays dividends.

The colours I’ve used, which are Purple & Green, are how I sense nostalgia, as those two colours combined symbolise my own nostalgic views with reality.

If you have nostalgic views with reality that focus back to yesteryear, please feel free to comment below.

Welcome to March!!! A Month Full of Hard Work, Simplicity & Relaxing Times.

Hello everyone, and welcome to March!!! As February finally closed its doors at 12:00AM this morning, March is set to be the month when we start to see some nice weather, as well as the relaxing temperatures that take away the cold, wintry weather from January & February.

As March is set to be a month full of hard work for me, given I have my Maths and English exams just around the corner, and with the second to last unit of my UAL Level 2 Art & Design Course to go before I start my final unit in April, this month will be full of hard work, as well as extensive revision that goes towards my English and Maths exams this month.

As well as this, March is also set to be a month surrounding simplicity, as the featured image suggests, as I want to make sure that this month is based around simplicity, as well as the design of Mother Nature overall, and also, this month is set to be full of relaxing times, and being able to enjoy yourself for just how valuable life really is.

Over the course of this month, I will be focusing more on my exams that are coming up, as well as meeting deadlines for my UAL Level 2 Art & Design Course work. This means that I will, in some or most cases, have some trouble in finding the time to publish articles on Mother Nature. However, I will try my best to fit at least a few articles in when I have the free time available.

Until then, welcome to March on Mother Nature!!! A Relaxing Journey Awaits!!!
