BIRD UP!

The rain started to fall, and the Canada Geese flew overhead so fast that the raindrops immediately descended, hence the need to BIRD UP!

It was incredibly chilly outside, and I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to take this picture of the Canada Geese as they flew above, honking away as the rain fell.

Using the iPhone’s Telephoto Camera on 5x Zoom, I quickly captured this photo of the four geese as they flew away to find cover.

I was amazed at how well this photo turned out because, even with the slight fuzz on the geese, it emphasised the speed at which they flew as they wasted no time flying around the atmosphere looking for somewhere to keep dry, whilst the rest of the terrain began to soak in all the rainwater.

It was very cloudy, and heavy rain was forecast when I took this picture of the flying geese, as we had some brief rainfall hours before that lasted for a few minutes, but the rain that fell just after I took this picture lasted for up to an hour.

If there is anything that I find inspiring about any birds that fly around is that they are the best weather signals as opposed to seeing the weather forecast on television or online, because every bird flies inland, and they can sense rain and thunderstorms before weather stations pick up the change in the weather.

The birds’ sixth sense is a gift from Mother Nature herself because it’s her way of safeguarding each bird, making it their instinct to fly inland to protect themselves, no matter what the weather or season.

Capturing this view of the geese spreading their wings in perfect tandem as they flew away was a photo moment that I couldn’t miss.

I loved that the geese spread their wings exactly at the right time as they emphasised the incoming rainfall with their wingspan.

I could see that as the Canada geese flew across the sky, they were immediately winging it with style and grace as the rain began to hydrate the world around me.

The geese delighted me with their presence before taking flight, making me feel at ease as each raindrop fell.

It’s a perfect call from nature to BIRD UP!
