Welcome to September!

Welcome to September on Mother Nature! As this month is set to be just as busy at the last, it is safe to say I may be publishing not as often as I used to, considering I am making sure to prioritise my time as effectively as possible, given that I have been looking around for jobs, with some good news in mind.

I sent off my CV & Covering Letter late yesterday morning for a photography job, and received a phone call within 24 hours of applying as I’ve been invited to go along for an interview on Wednesday 6th September. It’s a big step for me considering it is my first ever proper job interview and I am nervous to tell you the truth, but hopefully it will go well. This came at such a good time, to be frank, as my dream job is to become a photographer, and hopefully, fingers crossed, if the interview goes well, then I might get the job. At this stage, as I’m preparing myself for the interview next week, I will be making sure to plan the route in advance so that I can get to and from Camden before, during and after my interview. It’s a big step for me so fingers crossed! This does mean I will be inactive a bit more often than usual as I am making sure to be as flexible as possible considering I really want this job.

Meanwhile, over the course of this month, I will try and get some more of the photos I produced last month for the photography series: “The Concept of Expression” published on here, as I have been noticing some of the photography work I have published for this self-produced photography series has gained quite a lot of good traction and feedback on Instagram, and while we’re on the subject of photography work, expect some photos to be edited to black and white to add effect to the original photographs, as I will be experimenting further with some of the photos I choose to edit.

What are your plans for September, everyone? I am keen to find out what you plan to do over the next few weeks. Please feel free to submit your responses below in the comments.

Until then, Welcome to September!

Welcome to April!

Welcome to April on Mother Nature! As this month is set to be just as relaxing and as peaceful as last month, it’s safe to say that the weather is set to get better, and this month is also set to be quite the busy month for me, because I will need to travel up to places in London that I can photograph, including heading to certain galleries in London to further my research and development for the Facial Expressionism Final Major Project that I am currently working on.

During the holiday break, I will be doing coursework and revision, as I’ve got my GCSE English exam on the 5th May which I have to prepare for and I also have my GCSE Maths exams coming up soon as well, so I can only apologise in advance if I don’t publish as much on here over the next few weeks.

It’s hard to think, by the end of June, beginning of July, I will have just finished my last year of being in education. The time has flown so fast! I wish it could slow down but time isn’t slowing down anytime soon, so it’s time to make the most of it and make use of the time available whilst I am still in education to work hard and to succeed in my coursework.

Who has been loving this nice and sunny weather lately? I’d love to know if you love the nice and sunny weather that we’ve been seeing more of lately.

Until then:

WELCOME TO APRIL!

Welcome to February!

Welcome to February on Mother Nature! As this month is expected to be just as busy as last month, it’s safe to say this month will be a lot busier considering I have a mock exam just around the corner, but also because I will be making sure to get out more and make use of the free time I have on my days off to photograph nature-based places for my Self-Directed Curiosity Project.

I should note I will be publishing less frequently considering I have a lot of revision and coursework to do, but also because I will be dedicating a whole lot more of my time to my studies, as I’ve only got the last few months of my education to think about, so I will be making sure to make use of the free time to head out to places that I can photograph for my coursework and publish any collections I can create on this website so that I can at least say I’ve worked hard and gone the extra mile to showcase my passion for photography, as well as nature and other core areas of photography.

January sure flew by real fast. I hadn’t realised how busy the beginning of 2017 would be, but I am pleased to say I have worked hard and done the best I can in the space of the first month of this year. February will be no different because I am used to being busy and I would rather work hard and achieve the best I can and also work on publishing articles for Mother Nature as I love to stay active. Inactivity and me simply don’t go together unless I decide to take a break and relax and recuperate, but still, I love to keep as active as possible so that I can have the energy to balance my coursework, revision and publishing articles for this website effectively.

Still, I will be making sure to dedicate more of my time to my studies, but I will try to publish articles here and there when I can find the free time.

Until then, welcome to February!

Welcome to October!

Welcome to October on Mother Nature! As this month is set to be just as busy as last month, it is safe to say that this month is going to be quite a productive and busy month given my UAL Level 3 Diploma Film & Photography Course, including my GCSE English & GCSE Maths courses.

Over the course of this month, I will be publishing certain articles that may benefit your interests, one of which focuses on serious problems surrounding a news headline that caused untold controversy in the news just recently. All will be revealed soon in the article which is soon to be published.

Also, following the trip to Dungeness on Friday 23rd September 2016, I will be publishing a large photo set of the Trek to Dungeness, so you can expect the best results from my photo-set.

Whilst I remember, Book #4 is still going to be published but will be published towards the end of this year. It is bigger than how I expected it to be, considering I was initially hoping that the book would be smaller than Book #3, but Book #4 is officially a whole lot bigger than the third, so there is a lot that this fourth book can offer. Book #4, titled: “Life From My Own Perspective” is more or less finished, but I am making some gradual changes beforehand to ensure that the book is easily readable, and that you get a suitable context page that will allow you to flick to a certain page in the book a lot quicker. Book #4 will also be dedicated to my friend who I recently lost to a murder as I want him to be remembered for being the inspirational and aspirational friend that he was to myself and everyone else. I want Book #4 to be my way of saying: “Thank you for leaving such a positive impact on mine and everyone’s lives. You’ll be missed so much but you’ll live on in our hearts forever.

I have got a few articles planned for publishing this month, and I can guarantee to all of you that they will be interesting as I will be making sure to work away at them whilst I find the free time where possible.

Also, as Halloween is just around the corner, it is safe to say that the next few weeks will be interesting considering Halloween will be a talked-about subject for the next few weeks.

Until then, Welcome to October on Mother Nature!

Welcome to September!

Welcome to September on Mother Nature! As this month is set to be quite an interesting month considering I’m progressing onto the final year of my two-year UAL Level 3 Diploma Film & Photography Course, it’s safe to say that this month will be quite a busy one for me indeed.

As I prepare to embark on my final year of the two-year film and photography course, I will also be retaking my English & Maths GCSE courses, as I ended up getting a D again in English, following results day which took place most recently. It does mean, however, that articles and anything else that is not college-related will have to take a backseat as I am ultimately keen on wanting to succeed in the GCSE English & Maths subjects.

I can safely say that I will not be publishing articles as often as I want to, as my education takes full priority over writing and publishing articles, and I want to be able to succeed and pass both subjects, but also pass the last year of my film and photography course, considering that this year will be my final year of college.

However, if I can find the free time, I may be able to publish at least a few articles depending on any free time I get, that is if I do get free time this time around, considering that this final year of college is going to be full-on and a whole lot tougher than the last two years. All I can say is that I can only apologise in advance if you don’t see much of articles from me over the course of this year.

I’m prioritising my time effectively like I have done this past year, but making sure this time around to put my GCSE English & Maths Courses, including my Film & Photography Course first before anything else. Writing and publishing articles can take a backseat now as I want to be able to pass the GCSE Courses and my Film & Photography Course as it’s my final year at Croydon College. I am also doing this because I want to be able to head into a job as soon as I finish education.

I wanted to lay this all down on the line now so that all of you know what to expect ahead of my final year of college. I will be starting my first day back at Croydon College on the 12th September 2016.

Until then, welcome to September on Mother Nature!

Welcome to August!

Welcome to August on Mother Nature!

It’s hard to believe that July came and went so quick, in fact, the time has flown so fast this year that it’s nearly as impossible to keep up with the speed of time. As this month is set to be another productive month, I am pleased to say that I will be announcing details of Book #4 very soon, so that is something that I am sure will put a spring of happiness in your step.

Also, as the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games are kicking off on Friday 5th August, I will be considering publishing coverage articles based on the days events, but after each day has ended, so at least that way, there is more of a chance of me being able to compile together the events of each day into separate articles, including the latest medal table listings.

I will also be making sure to finish up work on the book as soon as I can, as I know I won’t be able to publish it come September, so there is a possibility it could be released this month. But as I’ve said, I’ll announce the news of this book very soon, so stay tuned! I can promise you it’s going to be of your interest :-).

What else will be happening? Oh yes, I’ll be making sure to make some small changes to some of the pages and/or menus, as some of the menus may need to be removed and some of the pages are long overdue an update, so hopefully, I’ll be making sure that happens, so that I can keep Mother Nature as relevant as possible.

As for the weather, I am considering going out to places over the rest of the Summer holiday, but as long as there is nice weather rather than bad weather.

Until then, Welcome to August!

Welcome to July!

Welcome to July on Mother Nature. As today kicks off a long Summer holiday for me and everyone else, I can’t wait to get back to publishing more frequently and I also can’t wait to go to so many places over the Summer holiday.

With the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic & Paralympic Games just around the corner, it’s safe to say that a lot of excitement is on the horizon, and even I am excited for this year’s Summer Olympic & Paralympic Games.

Despite two months of less productivity, I am pleased to say I will now return to publishing articles on a frequent basis now I have the huge bag of free time available. I will be making sure to keep on top of my publishing schedule as I want to make sure to keep to a frequent time frame that will help me to keep as active as possible whilst I am on holiday.

What else? Oh yes, the fourth book I mentioned to all of you about, which was titled: “Life from My Own Photographical Perspective” has been renamed: “Life From My Own Perspective“, as I have decided this time I don’t want it to be based around photography, rather it be around the topics I have already talked about over the course of this year, as well as other things that I have talked about on Mother Nature. I have only just had a chance to start working on the fourth book considering I haven’t been able to get around to doing it considering how much of a busy year I’ve had. Still, at least the good thing is I can get around to getting the book worked on now the huge bag of free time is available.

You can expect there will be a lot of information in this fourth book that will cover certain things, so I will be making sure none of you miss out, as I want to make sure this fourth book, like the other three, is worth reading 🙂 .

I will be making sure to get out more and to also get photos around certain places more so that I can expand on my photography skills a lot more.

Until then, Welcome to July!

Welcome to June!

Welcome to June! As this month is expected to get warmer considering that Summer is almost here, it is great to say that the Summer Olympics are nearly here. It’s amazing how fast the time flies, because when you consider that it was 4 years ago since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games started and finished, you wouldn’t believe just how fast the time has flown by. As the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic & Paralympic Games kick off soon, it’s safe to say that everyone’s excited for this year’s Summer Olympic & Paralympic Games in Rio.

This month is set to be a productive month for me, as I have two GCSE English exams coming up next week, which fall on the 7th and the 10th June, which is next week and I do feel nervous about sitting those exams to be honest with you, but I really am determined to pass them this time around, I want to make sure to nail them both on the head and pass them this time, so the next few days, crossing into next week will be all about revising and working extra hard to the best of my ability, which will mean I will be putting the remainder of this week and next week for publishing articles on hold, as I am serious about wanting to succeed, including being serious about wanting to pass the GCSE English course.

Once the GCSE English Paper 1 and 2 exams are out of the way, I will be making sure to round off the first year of my two-year UAL Level 3 Diploma Film & Photography Course, considering I have been extremely productive over the course of the entire year, but I will be making sure to publish more articles over the course of this month.

Until then, Welcome to June!

Alex Smithson

Welcome to May!

Welcome to May on Mother Nature! As the next couple of weeks are set to get warmer considering that Summer is just a few weeks away, it’s great to say that the weather is finally looking up. Today has actually been a lovely day and I hope this lovely weather continues.

Over the course of this month, I will be very busy with my college studies, but this may mean I’ll be publishing articles less frequently than I did last month, considering last month was extremely productive, but fear not, as I will be heading up to London on Tuesday 10th May to the Barbican Gallery where Madonna was a few weeks ago as I will be going to see an exhibition that comprises of over 250 intuitive works produced by Martin Parr.

As you can imagine, I’m really excited about the trip, though I will be making sure to be cautious about the photographs I will take as I have been given notification that some parts of the Barbican Gallery are okay for taking photographs, whereas some parts of the gallery are restricted in terms of photography, due to security reasons of course which is what I’ve taken into full consideration.

Over the course of this month, I will be focusing more on my studies, but also revision as I have two of the most important GCSE English exams coming up next month and I will be making sure to dedicate a lot of my time to revising as I want to stand a good chance of passing this time around. I will try, however, to fit time in now and then to publish articles on Mother Nature, as I want to make sure I can keep everything balanced so that nothing goes haywire whilst I’m studying or writing articles.

Until then, Welcome to May!
