Hello everyone, and welcome to the all new look blog theme “Motif”. Here, you’ll find that this blog theme is much tidier than ever, and is also organised. Gone are the days when certain blog designs used to be dis-organised and when certain things were out of place, well don’t worry everyone, as this blog theme has been given the reality check it’s needed, and is now organised with this much better design, giving you all the best blog experience of a lifetime.
To start off, there are some small changes that have been made to certain functions on this blog, for starters, the social icons have been upgraded to an all new metro design, to fit in with the Motif theme, and you may notice that some widgets on the right hand side of the blog page have been removed to de-clutter any used space, allowing for not only more space, but more space for things to either be showcased or added to the main sidebar.
The website logo has been given an all new and refreshed design, which is better than ever, and because of how bold the logo is, this allows for better viewing and also shows a form of a cubic design in the MN logo.
As well as this, certain features that are already on this blog have been re-worked to better suit the design, for example, the Follow box has now been re-worked, and is also kept short and sweet to make sure the design blends in well.
A certain new function is now visible for this blog, the website icon. The website icon used to be the WordPress logo on it’s own when you visited this blog previously, well, in preparation of using this all new Motif blog theme, I put the Cubic Mother Nature (MN) logo as the main blog’s new website icon, which is perfect as you can add this blog to your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch‘s Home Screen as a web app. This is also handy for those of you who may occasionally use Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (Windows 7-based version and up) as you can now drag the website icon to your Taskbar and it will come up as a full icon in its glory.
A new email icon is now available for use, and can be found on the main sidebar with all the other new social icons. This means that you’ll be able to contact me directly from the email button in the social icon box on this blog.
Apart from that, I have some fantastic news for all of you, I have been working on something since May that I guarantee all of you will like. Since May, I have been working on a book that follows up from my first book that I published to this blog in January. This new book: “A Year in Photography” is based on how far I’ve come in one year of blogging as well as photography, and how I have been able to also use days out to get some eye-catching photos. There is a hint of some of the photos that I have included in this book, as most of them are also found on this blog.
To give you a first look of a banner I designed, I have made a banner that will show an idea of what the book will look like when it’s released, and the perfect news is, this book will be released for free on this blog on the 22nd August. Make sure to mark your calendars of this special date, as this day will be very special indeed. At the moment, this book is still a work in progress, but will be finished and will also be given the final finishing touches to ensure that this book is a much better follow up to my previous book: “My Journey Through Photography”.
My apologies if this blog post was delayed for a couple of hours as I needed to require some important paperwork for Croydon College today after going to the enrolment day that was on Friday.
Two more features are here, the Dropbox button that takes you to the link to download “My Journey Through Photography” has also been given an all-new and refreshed button, which now blends well into this new blog design. The last feature is the Home button, as it has, after a long while, made a remarkable comeback, meaning all of you can now click or tap on the home button with ease. This theme, thankfully, came with a home button, which I know now will give all of you the opportunity to put your minds at ease :-).
Before I conclude this blog post, I wanted to mark the occasion by including two wallpapers, one for the iPad, and the other for the iPhone and iPod touch. These wallpapers have been created especially for this occasion, and to also mark any other future occasion. Feel free to download these wallpapers for use on any of these devices, and also feel free to use them on your smartphone or computer at your own will :-).
To save, you just tap and hold the photo for “Save Image” to come up (if you’re using an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad) or, if you’re on a Laptop/PC, you just right-click on your mouse and click “Save image as…” :-).
Thank you for viewing this blog post, and what a way to start off a new chapter of Mother Nature with a bang :-)!!!!!!!!
